Located just of the main road, the Golden Orb is a peaceful haven set in a lush sub tropical garden, sheltered from wind and sun. It is favourite place of locals where you often you may hear “Norfolk” being spoken.

Caz and Jack own and operate the “Orb” with Caz doing the cooking and Jack doing most other things with the help of experienced staff. The Golden Orb offers a varied selection of wholesome fresh food prepared on the premises utilising fresh local ingredients and home grown herbs. The Golden Orb offers great coffee and a wide range of specialty teas.

We have Norfolk Island’s largest range of books of local interest, a selection of the latest best sellers and a rather quirky selection of special interest titles.

Relax on the veranda shaded by avocado trees and palms. In winter we have a wood fire to take the chill of the early mornings. Tuesday and Wednesday there are traditional weavers demonstrating their art at the Orb. Join in and start making your traditional Norfolk hat. It’s free and entertaining.
